The in-person prayer meeting on 10 October has taken place. Arrangements for November will be announced later.

We thank God that last Sunday’s co-workers’ meeting approved version 4a of the Kingdom Hall purchase proposal. The BCEC trustees will meet to set the date for a members’ meeting, where members will vote on the proposal. From November, brothers from Telford plan to visit the other seven congregations to explain it. Please pray. The proposal combines a one-off gift of £50,000, monthly giving of £1,538 for 119 months plus £1,650 for one month, and accumulated general-fund reserves of approximately £74,475. Together these total £309,147, or about 79.8% of the £387,320 purchase cost. Telford asks BCEC to allocate £78,173 from the existing building fund for the remaining 20.2%, calculated using Telford’s approximate one-eighth share of total church attendance.

Five people have pledged a total of £8,000 in one-off gifts, leaving £42,000 towards the target. Two people have pledged £150 per month, leaving £1,388 per month. We encourage everyone to support this opportunity to extend Christ’s name and glory in Telford and Birmingham. Thank you for the £480 cash offering on Sunday 11 October. For April–September of the 2026–2027 financial year, income was £12,993.28 and expenditure £10,199.03, leaving £2,794.25. After the accounts are finalised, the surplus will be transferred to the building fund. Please remember this in prayer.

Six brothers and sisters wish to become BCEC members without giving up membership of their original churches, which does not conflict with biblical teaching. Anyone who wishes to apply and has attended Telford for at least six months may ask Brother Lawrence Lu for a membership application form.

Liu Li will lead worship and the Mandarin Bible study on 23 October, covering Proverbs 11:1–31.

On 25 October, Shi Xiangrong will chair Sunday worship, Wen Kaoyi will interpret for the chair, Huang Qiqi will lead worship, Pastor Lu Yunfei will preach, and Huang Zhenchong will interpret the sermon.

The Cantonese Fellowship meeting on 17 October has taken place. The November meeting is provisionally planned for 21 November; details will follow.
